Race 1: A couple of these won at this level on their respective latest starts. Love To Learn ended a long losing run with an easy success over track and trip but KIANA’S LOVE looks to have the stronger form. The latter shipped in from the west coast to score at Turfway Park in good style and it could pay to stick with Bill Morey’s filly in this. Broke Financing and Quiet Spring came up short in this grade last time while Lila’s Lucky Lady has her first outing since September.

Race 2: Assay has obvious claims on a recent second over track and trip. He finished in front of both Owen The Great and Proud Moments on that occasion though has only won once in 24 previous outings and looks worth taking on with A LA OMEGA. The latter is less exposed having won a maiden race here last month but he scored with plenty to spare and this longer trip should suit. Native River is another recent maiden winner and drops down in class having struggled last time.

Race 3: Unleash The Beast drops down in class but has a difficult task drawn out wide as does Soul Of Discretion. Cheers And Prayers will be sharper for a recent comeback run and can figure with Floyd Wethey taking over the reins but much better is expected from TEXAS LONG BOW. The latter faded badly on his reappearance but has every chance on the best of last year’s form and his yard continues to fire in the winners.

Race 4: Honest N Lucky bids for a hat-trick of course and distance wins but was well beaten by PADDY O at Delta Downs back in January. The latter has subsequently returned a convincing five-length winner at the same track and David Cabrera’s presence suggests she’s preferred to stablemate Indian Gem. Undivided had Perfectly Precious back in third when successful here last month while Syrah ships-in from Oaklawn looking for a return to form

Race 5: Southgate should find this easier than recent tasks in stakes races and Scott Young’s charge is preferred to stablemate November Mike, who has been gelded since last in action. Caney’s Ghost won an allowance race over a shorter trip here last time and attempts a mile for the first time. He should have the measure of claiming winner Pretty Special while Khola’s narrow-margin defeat at Houston came on Turf. GREAT FACES struggled in straight maiden company on his latest start but was beaten only a neck in a decent 75K contest at Oaklawn before that and he gets the nod with plenty of scope for further progress.

Race 6: HOBOKEN looks the one to side with in this. He’s placed at Houston on a couple of occasions this year and faces a much easier task in this company. Corky went close when last in this grade and is preferred to the unpredictable World but Therunawayrocket and Big Headed Baby have the worst of the draw and may struggle. Little Bubs makes his racecourse debut for one of the meets leading yards and is worth noting.

Race 7: Oklahoma Line finished in front of Daring Ego when runner-up here recently but both are thoroughly exposed and CONCRETE FINISHER is preferred. The latter finally opened his account when returning a wide-margin winner over track and trip and Ron David’s charge should make another bold bid. Jerry’s Vision has the most scope of these but will need a big improvement stepping up in trip and Biz Ops was well beaten on his only previous attempt at today’s distance.

Race 8: Several have been done no favours by a wide draw including Pretty Britches, who beat Award It when scoring easily here last time. Alex’s Bourbon and Our Musical Moment are others having to contend with a high draw but Ten Count Out has the past form to figure debuting for an in-form yard. SETTLE DOWN EILEEN never recovered from missing the break on her first start here but has leading claims on last year’s winning form at Turf Paradise. She gets the vote representing Robertino Diodoro’s leading yard.

Race 9: KANSAS CITY ZIP (NAP) makes most appeal. He’s been racing in claimers recently but won a more valuable allowance race than this at Houston at the start of the year and a repeat of that form should see him home and dry. Man U has now won three of only six starts at this venue having scored in this grade last time and Fayette Warrior has a shout on his winning form at Oaklawn in February. Quality Rocket will be sharper for a recent outing here and is preferred to the returning Superior’s Boy and Fearless Will.

Race 10: Hot’n Notty has form at Golden Gate but will need to be a notch above these drawn out widest of all. Westmont was thereabouts again when runner-up here recently and Cyclone Dan looks to have an easier task than of late. But PATRIOT took advantage of the drop in class when making a winning debut at this track last month and Steve Asmussen’s charge should be bang there at the finish once again having landed a more valuable claimer at Houston back in January.
